The Black Gate, in partnership with Galway City Arts Office and Music Generation Galway City, presents Black Gate Beginnings, a series of youth music events and workshops taking place in October 2022, funded by Creative Ireland.
On October 15th Music Generation Galway City will host a workshop and performance by singer and guitarist Síomha in the new GCC Music Centre in Galway Community College. Síomha dances the line between folk, jazz and neo-soul, effortlessly taking audiences on an unexpected and unforgettable journey. Her debut album ‘Infinite Space’ is a cosmic, folk-informed, jazz-tinged, post-pop collection of songs in both Irish and English produced by Grammy-nominated Tyler Duncan.
This workshop will appeal to young people interested in live performance, songwriting, improvisation, music production and songwriting as gaeilge.
